Safe driving habits should not be learned only to pass the G1 and G2 levels of graduated licencing. When you have a solid foundation of responsible and defensive driving, the good habits you learn translate into a lifetime of road traffic safety. As one of the best-known driving schools in all provinces, Young Drivers of Canada has graduated almost 1.5 million drivers who prioritize safety from behind the wheel.
The journey to getting your full G licence in Ontario can begin with Young Drivers of Canada before you turn 16. You can sign up for in-class or online learning lessons two months before your 16th birthday. Although many of our students are young Canadians getting their first licence, none of our driving education programs have age restrictions.
We take pride in teaching a curriculum that goes far beyond basic driving. Our instructors hold lessons and driving sessions that focus on defensive driving techniques designed to avoid collisions and other road traffic accidents. We teach you evasive maneuvers that apply to real-life driving conditions; you also learn to recognize and anticipate hazards you can safely mitigate.
Our flexible learning options allow you to schedule in-class lessons in the evenings or during the weekends. Many of our students who are busy with work, school, and family life appreciate our extended in-class lesson schedules. When you are ready for in-vehicle driving sessions and training, we’ll put you behind the wheel of a new sedan model. Our instructors are always in control with a dual-brake system for extra safety. We can also accommodate your requests for specific vehicle types and manual gearbox transmissions.
Our programs meet all provincial requirements for beginner driver education and the graduated licencing system. If you want to focus on extra driving practice, we can arrange additional lessons with our instructors to assess your skills and provide personalized guidance. All our in-class and in-vehicle lessons allow you to build confidence and sharpen your road traffic awareness.
